Cutting my bangs at home?

I like "scene style bangs" (Brookelle bones, Charlotte destiny, Cheyenne Snider... You know.) I've searched YouTube, google and how to websites with no answers! I have a cowlick on the back of my hair to the left and I want my bangs to go to the right. They need to cover my forehead and I don't straighten my hair. Help? Step by step directions would be lovely. :)
